Who Dat? Birthday Card

My brother David's birthday is on Valentine's Day and here is the card that I made for him. Can you tell that we are a family of Saints fans? The New Orleans Saints, of course. I went with the basic black and gold theme here, pretty straight-forward stuff. I covered the embossing folder with gold ink before running it through my Big Shot with paper.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted:

Stamp Set: None
Papers: Whisper White, Basic Black and Brushed Gold Cardstock
Ink: Basic Black (envelope) and Encore Gold
Accessories:
Stampin' Dimensionals, Sizzix Fleur De Lis Movers and Shapers Die and Cuttlebug Fleur De Lis Embossing Folder

Have a great day.

Valentine's Gifts for Preschool Teachers

Happy Valentine's Day!

This was a project that we did at my club meeting last month, and I made extras for all of the teachers at my daughter's preschool. This is the fifth straight year that I have had a child at Christian Preschool, and I am also on the school board there. I have two more years after this year, Ella will start in the Fall. They are an amazing group of women, and I wanted to be sure they knew they were loved by us this Valentine's Day. My other obsession, other than altering things, is candy. I just love to fancy-up some candy!

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted:

Stamps: Apothecary Art
Paper: Very Vanilla Cardstock and Everyday Enchantment DSP - from Sale-A-Bration
Ink: Timber Brown StazOn
Ribbon: Baja Breeze Seam Binding and Linen Thread
Accessories: Framelits Label Collection, Watercolor Crayons, Aqua Painter, Hershey's Nuggets, double stick tape and unknown brand of cello bags

Have a great day!

Another Teacher's Gift

If you know me well you know that I have a real obsession with altering things, and a composition book is right up there on my list of favorite things to alter. I am trying to build up my "stash" of supplies for craft fairs. Plus, it's always handy to have ready made gifts. I love buying from Stampin' Up!'s Clearance Rack for making my craft fair items. It helps to keep my costs down so I can charge less while still earning money. I am still obsessed with Stampin' Up!'s Love Letter DSP, I am not exaggerating when I say that I have 5 unopened packages of it. It has a new rival for my favorite though... have you seen the new Sale-A-Bration DSP Everyday Enchantment? I will post a project soon using that DSP.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted:

Stamps: None
Paper: Love Letter DSP and Graphic 45 Alphabet Soup Paper
Ink: None
Ribbon: Riding Hood Red 3/8 inch Taffeta Ribbon and Linen Thread
Accessories: Deck the Halls Big Designer Button and RSVP pen

Have a great day!

Very Belated Christmas Post

I realize that I've said this before, but I really want to be better about blogging. Either I will or I won't, you'll have to wait and see. This is a decorated kraft box that I filled with Rolo turtles (the chocolate kind, not the animal kind) and gave to our neighbors for Christmas. I was really happy with how they turned out. I made four and they were all a little different. I was really happy that Stampin' Up! put these little boxes in the new Occasions Mini, I hope they make it into the big Idea Book and Catalog this year. The supplies are varied, here's what I used:

Stamps: None
Paper: Stampin' Up! Holly Berry Bouquet DSP and Graphic 45 paper (for the "tag")
Ink: None
Ribbon: Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine
Other: Stampin' Up! Kraft Box, Dimensionals, clear rhinestone brad and felt flowers/leaves that I bought at an Amish stamping store in PA (don't know the manufacturer)

I hope to see you soon!
