One Layer Card

I wanted to play with my new scoring tool today, so I made this card. I am really pleased with how it turned out, it is simple and easy. I scored two boxes around the card to create a frame. I will definitely be playing with the use of scoring on my cards more! I cut the sentiment off of the owl image to make it more versatile. I can always line it up on the block with the owl image if I want to stamp them together. This is one of my favorite things about the new clear mount option for the stamp sets!

All supplies are Stampin' Up!

Stamp Sets: It's the Thought (hostess set) and Happy Moments (SAB set)
Papers: Kraft
Ink: Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red

Have a great day!

  1. I find clean and simple cards really difficult to make and you've done such a great job here. I love the subtle effect that scoring achieves. May just have to CASE this!

  5. This is very "classy" with the scored lines! I love my ScorPal & my MS Scoretool - I have to admit, I don't do much of this, but am thinking I should as yours looks super mod!
